All this R.kelly fiasco did was expose how many pedophiles are in the black community
Seeing how hard some black men and women are trying to defend R.kelly just makes me feel like it’s more than just them liking the music.
I think alot of these defenders don’t want R.Kelly to be seen as a pedophile because they’ve most likely have or attempted to have sex with minors; especially the men. So they try to normalize or make R.kelly look like the victim in this situation so they can then use the same rhetoric for themselves when they try to justify a 30 year old with a 15 year old.
And for the rest of you “separate the art from the artist” need to stfu
The art IS made by the artist and what influenced them to make the art. The art is a reflection of them and how they feel. So when you’re listening to a pedophile sing a song about love, sex, and romance; there’s a 90% that he was thinking about one of those little girls when he made the song.
So just say you don’t care about the crime instead of trying to use that weak ass argument of “separate the art from the artist”.
That phrase was made and is used for people that don’t want to accept the fact that their favorite artist is a disgusting person, so they try to look for a reason to still enjoy or support the artist music without seeming like they condone their actions.
But in reality you just look like a wishy washy hypocrite, that can’t admit that deep down you really just don’t give a fuck. Unless you were in the situation of course 🙄.
